Paus – “just a nice place” reads the tagline. It doesn’t shout for attention, and that’s precisely what makes it perfect. Much like the venue itself, it’s understated, unpretentious, and effortlessly inviting. No frills, no fuss. But behind this simplicity lies an absolute treasure trove of offerings: yoga, reformer Pilates, sound healing, padel courts, Kundalini meditations, gong baths, and plenty of talks and workshops designed to enhance self-discovery, build bonds, and foster shared experiences.
A stones throw down the road from the OG Paus (still one of my all-time favorite spots in Dubai), the new Paus Club has opened its doors. Vastly bigger than the original, the new location maintains the warm, cozy and welcoming ambiance that made the first one feel like a second home – but with an added touch of spaciousness and versatility.
Offering a reformer pilates and yoga studio, padel courts and a rooftop space for outdoor classes – (and a soon to open eatery and spa) Paus club really is elevating the wellness experience.
Walking in, it’s really impossible not to feel at ease. The thoughtfully curated interiors -minimal yet wonderfully inviting and calming- reflect the brand’s philosophy of creating a safe, judgment-free space for wellness and connection. Whether you’re here for a mindful yoga class, a cup of coffee paired with something guilt-free yet indulgent from their café, a workshop, , Paus is really so much more than a wellness space – it’s a sanctuary for community, connection and growth.
What sets Paus apart isn’t just the breadth of its offerings – from movement classes and wellness workshops to their relaxing garden and meditation room -but the way it blends these into a holistic lifestyle experience. This is not just a place you visit; it’s a community you join. Sophiya and Sarah, the passionate sisters behind the concept, have created a haven that goes beyond physical wellness to nurture the mind and soul, reminding us that self-care isn’t selfish—it’s essential.
During our time, we joined a power yoga class at Paus, hosted by lovely Cilla, who reminded us during the session, “Don’t be hard on yourself, don’t be hard on your body.” That simple yet profound sentiment really seems to echo through everything Paus offers. This isn’t flashy, performative wellness. It’s not about being “seen,” and it’s certainly not about paying lip service. Instead, it’s about creating a true sense of support, belonging, and community – one that genuinely feels like a second home for anyone walking through its doors.
Truly, just a very nice place.
