When I discovered Resync’s Recovery Trio, I was both intrigued and apprehensive. The package includes 30 minutes of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, 20 minutes of red light therapy, and whole-body cryotherapy. As someone new to all three treatments and especially wary of the cryotherapy due to my aversion to cold, I was curious to see how it would unfold.
Upon entering Resync, I was welcomed into a sleek and aesthetic environment. The attentive and knowledgeable staff immediately put me at ease, explaining each therapy in detail and guiding me seamlessly from one treatment to the next.
We began with the hyperbaric oxygen therapy. This treatment involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurised chamber, which enhances oxygen absorption in the body. Benefits include increased energy levels, improved focus, and mental clarity. Overall, you don’t feel any effects while in the chamber, except for when the oxygen levels are changing – your ears will pop similar to when at altitude. I recommend taking your current read with you and the 30 minutes soon flies by!
Next was red light therapy, a non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to penetrate the skin and stimulate cellular processes. This therapy is known to reduce inflammation, promote healing, and boost collagen production, leading to improved skin health and muscle recovery. This one was easy enough too, simply lie inside the bed and soak up all the red light goodness!
Finally, it was time for the session I was most apprehensive about. Whole-body cryotherapy. Despite the chamber reaching temperatures as low as -110 degrees Celsius, the staff reassured me that the experience is often more manageable than cold water therapies, as the cold is dry and the exposure is brief. Firstly, you step into -60 degrees to adjust, before continuing into the main chamber. Stepping into the chamber, I was surprised to find that, while intense, the cold was indeed tolerable. The staff will ask for your music requests while inside and I definitely recommend something to keep you dancing and moving around!
I had full expectations of having to dip out of this one ahead of the recommended time, but I stuck with it! The three-minute session left me feeling invigorated and surprisingly refreshed.
Oxygen and red light therapy left me feeling completely relaxed and restored, and just when I thought I might float away, cryo snapped me back with an energising boost. Resync has packages and memberships if you want to make this a regular thing – they recommend three to four sessions a week for the best results. If you’re looking for the latest wellness treatments in a sleek, luxury setting, the Recovery Trio is 100% worth trying. You’ll walk out feeling refreshed, recharged, and ready to take on the day.
