I first met Anna, a Somatic and CBT coach and one of the co-founders of Achievher, at a mental health panel we were both speaking on – and immediately, something clicked. Listening to her speak about her work I couldn’t help but feel like we were singing the same song: helping women come back into their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and reconnect with their truest selves.
Fast forward a few weeks, and I found myself in the beautiful Achievher studio, experiencing their signature class, The Practice. I say “class,” but really – it’s more like a journey.
Co-founded by Anna and Constanze, two women who walk their talk in every way, Achievher is a sanctuary tucked away in Jumeirah, that feels like the antidote to everything the modern world (and Dubai itself!) demands of us. There are no mirrors. No pressure to perform. No shouting instructors. Just safety. Connection. And space – in every sense of the word- for emotional exploration.
First things first – the studio is a breath of fresh air. Unlike many wellness or fitness spaces in the city, this one is rooted in intention over aesthetics. It’s a wide, open, light-filled sanctuary with no mirrors, just an uninterrupted view of the Burj Al Arab glimmering in the distance. The moment you step inside, you know – this isn’t about how you look, it’s about how you feel. Without mirrors, there’s nothing pulling your attention outward. It’s an invitation to turn inward, let go of judgement, and truly land in your own body.
From the minute the session itself begins, you feel held.
It’s a 75-minute session grounded in somatic movement, breathwork, and embodiment practices. But more than that, it’s a class designed to help you drop the armour, soften into your body, and begin to move with intention rather than expectation.
The class unfolds gently – like a deep exhale you didn’t realise you were holding. It invites you to drop in to your body, to notice, to feel, to release.
I was lucky enough to experience a private class with Constanze, and her presence alone creates an immediate sense of calm. There’s a grounded, nurturing quality in the way she holds the space that made it feel deeply safe to just be. Admittedly, I did think I may feel a bit silly shaking and moving my body so freely – but not with Constanze. Her calm, reassuring energy dissolves self-consciousness, and gently encourages you to drop in.
In regular classes, the intentionally small group size adds to that feeling of safety and intimacy. It creates a space where vulnerability is welcomed, not feared. You don’t feel anonymous – you feel seen. Supported. Encouraged to move for yourself, not to mirror anyone else.
Anna and Constanze are deeply passionate about creating a space where women can explore the full range of their emotional landscapes – from grief to joy, anger to love. And you feel that energy in every moment of the class. This isn’t just a workout – it’s a healing space, a soft rebellion against the grind culture that so often leaves us feeling disconnected.
As someone who works with women on a similar path – reconnection, regulation, and reclaiming wholeness – The Practice felt like coming home. The blend of movement, coaching principles, nervous system work, and breath felt beautifully intuitive, yet expertly held. It’s the kind of class that lingers long after you leave the studio – because it touches something deeper than your muscles.
In a city like Dubai, where shiny aesthetic studios, high-performance and appearances can dominate the wellness space, Achievher is truly a breath of fresh, grounding air. It’s not just what we need as women – it’s what we need here.
I left feeling softer, stronger, and more connected to myself. And isn’t that the whole point?
